When Jordon and Jeremy find a journal in a hidden laboratory below Jordon’s house, the adventure is just beginning. Following a map, the boys and Jeremy’s sister Annese explore abandoned caves that lead to another world; but the discovery turns desperate when Annese is kidnapped by a gigantic bird. Jordon and Jeremy have no choice but to figure out how to rescue her. Along the way, they find their faces in a book of prophecies. This new realm apparently had other plans for them.

Pride is on the line when Tyler, Jordon’s cousin, calls Annese a liar. After all, no one can go to another world! Instead, Annese proves it by taking Tyler to Asteria. But when the two youngsters and their new friend Odessa fall into a sinkhole, Jordon and Jeremy must come to the rescue—underground! It’s harder than they think. The transport pads that go between the islands don’t line up, and the enemies down here are almost worse than on the surface. During the rescue attempt, the boys think someone or something is stalking them. They can feel it. But who is it and from where? To make matters worse, they can’t get back to the surface the same way they came down.

RESCUING DEAVEREAUX
Jordon, Jeremy, and Tyler are stunned when a blue boy with antennae stumbles down Jordon’s stairs and claims to be Maliik Deavereaux, the son of the man who owns Jordon’s house. Maliik explains his father is being held prisoner by a tyrant. He’s been sent to find some items from the lab, but he doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing!
The boys and Annese jump into action to help Maliik save his father, but the adventure quickly becomes a bigger challenge. Maliik’s family is in danger. His father is being tortured. His sister has been added to the prisoner list. The items they need aren’t just the ones from the lab; they’re spread out all over the continent! It’s life or death as the team searches, often finding themselves up against thieves, monsters, dragons, and their biggest threat – Sventaug!
Can they rescue Mr. Deavereaux before he dies? Better question: can they make it home alive?
A Gift In the Boonies
My name is Kelly. I’m a normal 13-year-old who like drawing, video games, and reading. I also have high anxiety, am extremely timid, and have some pretty strange nightmares. Some become reality. Like, I redecorated my room from pink to green – in my sleep!
Mom sent me to spend the summer with my aunt, who I haven’t seen since I was a baby. When I get there, I find out Mom sent me to the Boonies! I mean, there is nothing around here but fields, forests, and mountains. My aunt has me even more worried. She keeps talking about a gift I have.
I feel like there’s a different reason I’m here. No one will give me a straight answer; not even Granma! And I keep seeing something move out of the corner of my eye, but when I look, nothing is there. I swear I’m going crazy! Can my life get any stranger?
